In this technological age, I have used email and a class website to communicate with parents and families since the beginning of my teaching career. However, the idea of using a blog began in the fall of 2010. Creating a blog was an assignment given to me for a Master's course on Educational Technology. Although I had read blogs before, I had never written one personally. Upon research of what a blog is, I determined a blog is simply an online space, much like a web page, in which personal information can be entered and shared with others. The main difference, and advantage, from a web page is that each posting is listed in sequential order. This way, anytime new information is entered it is known by followers as new and current information.
